A visit back to Daytona for Paul Goldsmith to meet the “Roarin’ Relic,” a 1949 Oldsmobile Rocket 88 that is widely-believed to be the oldest remaining NASCAR racer, 62-years after he raced her for the final time back in 1958. Two days later that weekend, Goldsmith won the final Grand National Beach-Road course race. Goldsmith is the only man to win major races on the Daytona Beach-Road Course using both a motorcycle and an automobile. Goldsmith later padded his legacy by winning on the 2.5-mile Daytona International Speedway.
