A tribute in memory of one of our generation’s greatest songwriters and musicians, Dan Fogelberg.
According to Fogelberg, “To The Morning” was the first song he wrote that made him feel like he could make music for a living, noting, “Before that I had written a few songs, but they weren’t very good.”
This one is.
Running 6 minutes, 34 seconds, “To The Morning” was, appropriately, the first track on Fogelberg’s 1972 debut album “Home Free”, and, ironically, one of the few DF tunes to NOT feature him on a guitar.
