GREEN GREMLINS COLLECT SOCKS FOR AREA REST HOME RESIDENTS – As part of a community service component of the “Green Gremlins Decade of the 70’s Reunion,” held last weekend, former Bennettsville High School class members concluded their “Socks for Seniors” drive by collecting donated socks at the reunion’s “Tailgate Welcome” at the MCHS/Wilson football game, then delivering them—along with songs and prayers—to residents of Dundee and the BTU Rest Home. The effort was a success, providing over 500 pairs of new socks to almost 200 residents. (Gremlins involved in the Saturday distribution were: Reverend Harvey and Marian Leake, Vermell Jones Bryant, Robersina Moore, Virginia Purvis-Bradley, Deidre Hepburn, and Gloria Anderson.)
